چکیده

Abstract Aims The prognostic role of bone tracer uptake in transthyretin cardiac amyloidosis (ATTR-CA) is controversial. study investigated the potential significance biventricular (BiV) ATTR-CA. Methods Consecutive ATTR-CA patients who had scintigraphy with acquisition planar and single-photon emission computed tomography (SPECT) images from National Amyloidosis Centre (NAC) four Italian centres were included. Planar BiV was defined presence right ventricle (RV) graded combination SPECT imaging. primary outcome all-cause mortality. Results Among 1422 ATTR-CA, found 85% cases on 100% images. During a median follow-up 39 months, at associated higher mortality compared to isolated LV (40.5% vs 10.7%, p<0.001), whereas Perugini scale not (p=0.27 grade 2 3). At multivariable analysis, RV leading (HR 2.80, p=0.001), together age diagnosis 1.03, V122I TTR variant 1.60, NAC ATTR Stage 1.29, p=0.003), E/e’ 1.02, p=0.044), atrium area index 1.04, p=0.018) GLS 1.05, p=0.003) independently death. time-dependent ROC curve addition stage resulted improved accuracy model for prediction death (from AUC 0.74 0.79; p<0.001). Conclusions identified worse outcome, potentially serving as novel marker.

Transthyretin Cardiac Amyloidosis in Black Americans.

Transthyretin-related cardiac amyloidosis is a progressive infiltrative cardiomyopathy that mimics hypertensive and hypertrophic heart disease and often goes undiagnosed. In the United States, the hereditary form disproportionately afflicts black Americans, who when compared with whites with wild-type transthyretin amyloidosis, a phenotypically similar condition, present with more advanced dise...

[Familial approach in hereditary transthyretin cardiac amyloidosis].

Cardiac amyloidosis is a disease of complex diagnosis and treatment. Some subtypes of cardiac amyloidosis are inherited. Among these, the most common variant is caused by mutations in the transthyretin gene. Correct identification of amyloidosis produced by a genetic defect is of great importance because it modifies the diagnostic and therapeutic approach in patients and their families. We desc...

Analysis of disease progression in patients with transthyretin cardiac amyloidosis

Background In transthyretin (TTR) cardiac amyloidosis, myocardial deposition of liver-derived TTR fibrils results in heart failure and death. Wild-type TTR (ATTRwt) amyloidosis is an acquired disease, whereas familial amyloidotic cardiomyopathy (FAC) is a hereditary form of the disease caused by mutations in the TTR gene resulting in the deposition of both mutant and wild-type TTR. Published da...

Cardiac amyloidosis: Diagnostic features and clinical implications.

Seven patients with cardiac amyloidosis were referred to King Khaled University Hospital. All patients in this study developed congestive heart failure. They had a long duration of illness and thickened ventricular wall with marked abnormalities in the left ventricular filling, and normal systolic function. Diastolic function is suggested as a possible mechanism of congestive cardiac failure in...
